John

John William Rhydderch was probably the great grandfather of Rev. Roger Howell.  He lived to be 100 years old (1684-1784) and spent all his life at Nantmoel Uchaf farm.  There is a memorial to him attached to the outside wall of Baran Chapel.
Thomas William Rhydderch is probably a brother of John William Rhydderch - being the sons of William Rhydderch.
The letters d, dd, D. Dd and word, deceased were probably added later to denote the deaths of members.  Some of the information on the early pages may have been recorded retrospectively.  In the bottom right hand corners of the first few pages, the (apparently) Biblical forenames, John, Thomas and Ruth have been written
Howel Roger was the paternal grandfather of Rev. Roger Howell.  He also lived at Nantmoel Uchaf and is recorded as the son-in-law of John William Rhydderch on the memorial attached to Baran chapel.
